Way of working
PPS Holland uses an integrated approach for innovative customized production and process systems solutions. All technical, project management and people aspects are taken into account. The main focus point of a project is to deliver quality. To deliver good quality three constraints must be balanced: scope, time and cost. PPS Holland is an extension to on-site knowledge, together we create a suitable solution. PPS Holland aims to shorten new technology introductions. A test set-up or feasibility study is done with industrialization in mind. Machines and tools are developed with the least components possible to improve long term reliability, availability and reduced Mean Time To Repair (MTTR). Standard components are preferred. If not available, PPS Holland uses its extended suppliers network to produce quality parts in a reasonable price class.
Process requirement specification
Process parameters are defined. Yield, throughput and Voice of Customer are also taken into account for the industrialization phase. PPS Holland can only stress and emphasizes the importance of this phase. The program requirements using measurable specifications will guide the process during all phases of realization.
Initial feasibility study, proof-of-principle
PPS Holland works on the basis of the design principle KISS (Keep It Short and Simple). Based on the requirements a test set-up is defined for proof-of-principle, aiming for simplicity. Main goal is to find out if the requirements can be met.
Architecture / design
Based on the feasibility study a modular design for tool or equipment is made. Taking operators, maintenance, availability, time-to-market and cost of ownership into account. In a module the mechanics, electronics and software are distinguished.
Manufacturing
Single piece or small series of tools or equipment are produced. PPS Holland offers integration in a production environment. Standard components are preferred. If not available, the company uses its extended suppliers network to produce quality parts in a reasonable price class.
Delivery / acceptance tests
All functions are tested after manufacturing. After delivery of the production or process system the program requirements are tested on-site. During the test phase users are trained to operate and maintain the system. When accepted, the project is closed.
After care support
PPS Holland strives for perfection. However, in practice hick-ups can occur. Arrangements can be made regarding maintenance and training. PPS Holland offers a reasonable response time or remote support. No 9 to 5 mentality.
